Governor General’s Footguards is the senior reserve infantry regiment in Canada. We are not just first in seniority but also in performance. When a Guardsman dons their Capstar a proud regimental history lies behind it with distinguished service in North West Canada, the Nile Expedition, WWI, WWII, Golan Heights, Cyprus, Bosnia, Sierra Leone and currently the Sudan and Afghanistan.

Whether a Guardsman participates in overseas operations, domestic operations or in challenging regimental exercises they are making regimental history and setting the example for future generations.

Our new website reflects this and now enables the Regiment to have yet another vehicle to ensure that its members stay up to date and informed using some of today’s more popular web based applications. I encourage all to use this website to its fullest as both an information and communication tool.
